South Korea-based general marketplace Daangn has launched an AI image reader to suggest post titles and categories to sellers, Nate News reports.
The AI generates titles by analyzing product photos and can recommend up to three categories, which the company says improves the understanding of prospective buyers and makes it more likely that they will make a purchase.
Daangn’s new function, which has yet to be officially announced by the company, follows the rollout of a listing-assistance feature that transforms photos into video clips by competitor Bunjang.
Daangn, which promotes proximity-based trading, already allows users to upload short videos to market the goods and services they are selling.
“In just about a year since its official launch, the number of daily short-form uploads increased 60-fold and the number of views increased 24-fold, leading to explosive growth and the expansion of the service nationwide,” according to a news release issued by the company late last month.
Founded in 2015, Daangn also operates in the U.K., Japan and Canada. Last year, it introduced a feature that allows sellers to target listings at two locations simultaneously.
