Description

The Poovanese (Hava-Poo) is a “designer breed” made up of the Poodle and the Havanese, created in the United States that has gained popularity in the last decade.

Size: The Poovanese will typically reach an average height of 10 inches tall and an average weight of 16-18 pounds.

Coat: The coat of the Poovanese can vary in length, but is always wavy or curly. The Poovanese exhibits a double coat that is short underneath, while the top coat is soft and fluffy. The Poovanese can appear an many various colors and markings, however, the most common is simply white.

Character: The Poovanese is an extremely friendly and affectionate breed. They are very loving and will enjoy spending all of their time with their family. The Poovanese will love to play with your house full of children. However, because of their small stature, they may be better suited for homes without small children. The Poovanese is known to warm up quickly to strangers, however, this makes them less than ideal watchdogs. The Poovanese is also an excellent choice for homes with other dogs or small animals, as they are happy to enjoy the company of any animal. However, as with any breed, introduction of your Poovanese to another animal will always be more successful when socialization begins at a young age.
