The AdTech vertical of the largest Russia-based classified Avito has extended its services to sole traders. Previously they were available only to companies. From now on, an individual entrepreneur can register with the service, top up their account balance with at least RUB5,000 ($60.00) and get access to three advertising formats: static banners, videos, and dynamic creatives.

All advertising banners undergo mandatory moderation, and Avito’s algorithms display ads only to interested users. Links can lead to external websites or to Avito’s own stores. There is a forecasting tool that helps gauge the expected reach and number of impressions based on a user’s budget. The company explained that advertising materials are automatically tagged through integration with the advertising data operator.

Avito Advertising Director Yakov Peisakhzon noted that the platform’s new tools allow businesses to target their products or services to the most relevant users. The platform’s algorithms take into account information about audience interests and behavior and display relevant ads based on this information.

“Online advertising has become essential for sustainable growth and business development,” Peisakhzon said.  “Avito’s goal is to enable businesses of all sizes to achieve their targets quickly and effectively on the platform. And we’re seeing results: in the second quarter, brand investments in media advertising on Avito increased by 93% year-on-year.”

To achieve this, we’ve focused on developing advertising technologies, including for individual entrepreneurs.

According to Peisakhzon, in the second quarter of this year, brand investments in media advertising on Avito increased by 93% year-on-year
