EV24.Africa, a pan-African electric vehicle marketplace launched by Africar Group and Auto24.Africa, says it has delivered its first batch of EVs to customers in ten African countries. This comes less than three months after the company commenced operations.
Launched in March 2025, EV24.Africa offers both new and certified secondhand electric vehicles to individual drivers, ride-hailing professionals, corporates, NGOs, government agencies and automotive distributors across the continent.
It says it has received more than 350 qualified vehicle requests from users in more than 30 African countries to date, with particularly strong demand in South Africa, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The marketplace features more than 200 EV models from in excess of 50 manufacturers, with purchasing support and logistics designed for cross-border transactions.
“EV24.Africa is a strategic move aligned with our mission to reshape mobility in Africa,” Axel Peyriere, co-founder and CEO of Auto24.Africa wrote in a statement sent to the AIM Group.
“Backed by Stellantis and built with a lean, digital-first approach, we are uniquely positioned to scale EV adoption across the continent and make sustainable transport a reality for all.”
EV24.Africa has continent-wide logistics covering more than 20 African ports.
Auto24.Africa, which specializes in buying and selling used cars across the region, is a subsidiary of Africar Group, an auto classifieds site that is majority owned by Australia-based Emerging Classifieds Ventures.
Africar Group has built a network of more than 50 automotive marketplaces operating in excess of 45 countries across sub-Saharan Africa.
