Home service provider app Thumbtack, which in June added its services to brokerage and residential listing site Redfin, has teamed up with homeowner maintenance assistant HomeLedger.

The collaboration, announced Sept. 18, gives HomeLedger users in the U.S. direct access to service providers in nearly 500 categories including plumbing, landscaping, and house cleaning.

HomeLedger’s ongoing services include: suggestions for personalized maintenance, secure tracking of home inventory, key document storage, and AI Helper “Joe”, which offers guidance and quick answers on home maintenance issues.

“At HomeLedger, we want to help you care for your home, better,” said Clem McDavid, founder and CEO at HomeLedger, in the news release. “Our partnership with Thumbtack is another step toward making homeownership simpler, smarter, and less stressful.”

Based in Charlotte NC, HomeLedger was founded in 2024, as an app that provides homeowners with assistance in home maintenance.

Real estate marketplaces across various markets are increasingly seeking to offer their users access to home improvement services.

In July, home improvement startup CheckATrade announced that it was set to be integrated into the website of U.K.-based real estate marketplace Zoopla.

As part of the collaboration, CheckATrade’s network of over 51,000 tradespeople in the home improvement domain are to be integrated with Zoopla’s listings and property detail pages. The move is intended to allow Zoopla users to directly access CheckATrade’s home improvement services without exiting the site.
