China-based used-car reseller Guazi.com has launched a 100-day battery buyback guarantee to address users’ concerns about battery degradation, Sina Technology reports.

If a vehicle’s battery degradation exceeds 10% under normal use conditions during its warranty period, Guazi says it will unconditionally repurchase it at the original price.

Batteries are just one element of user concerns when it comes to a vehicle’s overall condition: According to the 2025 China used car consumer behavior survey, which was conducted by iMedia Research, nearly 40% of users are worried about false information regarding used cars.

To address the issue, Guazi says it has established more than 200 professional testing standards to ensure that every car is fully evaluated prior to sale.

Unlike the industry’s average testing standards, Guazi’s inspection criteria are benchmarked against the Technical Specifications for Passenger Car Identification and Evaluation (T/CADA18-2021), the company says. The results are presented in a consumer-friendly format that helps ordinary buyers understand the report and assess potential risks, it adds.

Guazi also promises that if a car is found to have suffered a major accident, fire, water immersion or other problem, the buyer is entitled to an unconditional full refund and that this is not time-limited.
