Circular IT company Foxway has announced two new appointments as part of an effort to grow its European business.

Carl-Fredrik Lidman has been appointed as president of the Sweden-based company’s Circular Workspace Solutions unit, assuming a role previously held by Steinar Aune, who becomes president of Recommerce Computer and Enterprise, the company said. They will head two of Foxway’s three core business areas – the third being Recommerce Mobiles – effective Jul. 1.

Lidman previously worked for Swedish telecommunications company Telia as the leader of its business serving large and medium enterprises.

The appointments follow a series of leadership changes last year, including that of Patrick Höijer as president and CEO. These in turn followed Nordic Capital’s acquisition of a majority stake in Foxway two years ago.

“Our refined strategy is about more than growth; it’s about setting new standards in circularity and empowering customers to make truly sustainable decisions,” Höijer said in a press release announcing the two appointments.

Foxway provides trade-in and refurbishment solutions enabling mobile network operators and retailers to buy back smartphones from customers, as well as collecting corporate devices for repair or refurbishment so that they can remain in circulation. It aims to be the sole circular technology provider for companies seeking to move away from the traditional linear mode of tech procurement.

Last year the company reported revenue of 7.8 billion Swedish kronor ($825 million U.S.), with an operating profit of 61 million kronor.
