Egypt-based Contact Financial Holding, the parent company of auto marketplace ContactCars.com, has announced the appointment of Sherif Bakir as chief commercial operations officer.
Bakir has more than 30 years of experience in such fields as business development and customer relations across a range of industries, including marketing, retail, telecommunications, and oil and gas.
He joined telecommunications giant Vodafone in 2000 and held a number of senior positions for the company, including an eight-year stint as its commercial development director, where he led teams of more than 20,000 employees across three continents. He also managed b-to-b relations in more than 200 countries.
Bekir’s appointment is part of a wider management shake up at Contact Financial Holding, with the company having appointed a new director of programs and initiatives, director of transformation, chief credit officer, head of product and growth and CEO in the last six months.
